After living with my husband for five years there is one meal that I 100% can guarantee that he will eat! And I've tried cooking some pretty awesome dishes that he refused to eat for various reasons. (I'm not picking a fight). I present to you, WHOOPIE BURGERS, otherwise known as a Poor Man's Steak... WITHOUT MUSHROOM SOUP!
Serving: 4
Meat:
1 lb. Ground Beef or Ground Turkey
1 egg
1/2 pkg of crackers... 1/2 cup oats... 1/2 to 3/4 cup breadcrumbs. (This is not perfect!)
dash of Worcestershire Sauce (Let's give it a kick!)
salt/pepper
Special Sauce:
1/2 C. Ketchup
1/2 C. Mustard
1 C. Mayo or Salad Dressing
1. Preheat oven to 350.
2. Mix the meat and other ingredients (NOT THE SAUCE) together like you're making meatloaf. Make four patties (or 6 small patties).
3. Brown on the stove (takes a couple of minutes).
4. Put in a baking dish and bake for 30 minutes.
5. Mix sauce together and set aside.
6. After 30 min. Drain meat,
7. Add sauce and bake for an additional 15 minutes. Voi-la!!
